Brief History
2022
Hershwell's history dates back to March 27, 2022, when Otto Wang, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hemir Empire, met Justin Tsai, Prime Minister of the Principality of Rushwell, in Taipei. They discussed the micronational community and diplomatic development, influencing future relations.
Two months later, the Hemir Empire and Rushwell agreed to unify government services and their countries, focusing on cultural development. On July 3, 2022, after a month of negotiations, Otto Wang, Justin Tsai, Eric Yin, and Ching-Yiu Lim signed the "Treaty of the Unification," establishing Hershwell. Otto Wang became Otto I, the first Prince of Hershwell, and appointed Justin Tsai as Provisional Consul to form the provisional government.
On July 30, Hershwell assisted TMA in holding the 1st TMA Summit in Taipei City, which marked the major revolution of the Taiwanese micronational community. After the summit, due to further education, Hershwell stopped functioning for more than half a year.
2023
Hershwell became active after 112 GSAT. On April 09, 2023, the provisional government announced the draft of the "Constitution of the Principality of Hershwell", which was passed by the provisional parliament on September 12.
On June 12, H.S.H. Otto I decided to abdicate and appoint King of Austin and Farant Paul Ⅰ as successor. On June 23, Daimyo of Morimae Ching-Yiu Lim waived his inheritance, King Paul I inherited, and became Prince Paul I.
That August was the most active and busy month in Hershwell, we participated in two physical summits, the first was Z.M.D.O. summit held in Taoyuan, and the second was the 2023 TMA Shusakuron Summit held by us. It was the biggest summit in Taiwan, more than ten Taiwanese micronations joined.
On December 02, the National Council Election which would select Prime Minister and two Independent Monitors, was held. It's Hershwellian's first time to decide on their leader for the first time. The result of election was all candidates from the Civil Alliance won, provisional Consul Justin Tsai became 1st Prime Minister of Hershwell.
On December 09, Hershwell co-held the 1st IPSM Summit alongside the New Rubix Republic, it marked the first time that micronation activists from outside Taiwan came to Taiwan to join the summit. During the summit, we discussed the establishment of IPSM and trans-micronational postal service. After the summit, the Cabinet Office held the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected cabinet.
2024
On January 01, 2024, the H.S.H Government held the New Year celebration, Prime Minister Justin Tsai delivered his 1st speech worldwide, reflecting on political accomplishments and propagating policy.
On January 28, Foreign Secretary Otto Wang participated in the 6th Summit of Z.M.D.O. held by the Constitutional Monarchy State of Huajiangstan in Sanxia District, New Taipei City, it's Otto Wang's first international meeting as Foreign Secretary of Hershwell. The next day, Prime Minister Justin Tsai, Foreign Secretary, and H.S.H Paul Ⅰ attended the 2024 TMA Winter Summit.
On February 10, in order to celebrate Chinese New Year, HershPost published its first stamp, which combined traditional Chinese calligraphy with Prime Minister Justin Tsai's personal style. Two days later, we co-held the Apertura del Año Cultural del Dragón, it's our pleasure to host cultural exchanges between East and West.
This year July 03 is the second national day, H.S.H.'s Government held the national day ceremony first time.
